ESL - Ecological ServicesExample of a project in which two new ponds and associated terrestrial habitat were designed and created in mitigation for the loss of a pond containing great crested newts at the site of a housing development. Subsequent trapping and translocation of newts under licence was undertaken to enable the client to begin development of the land.
Project to design and build a mitigation area for water vole, maximising the limited area available by creation of a convoluted water course providing maximum habitat for the species.
