Bat and bird boxes

BAT AND BIRD BOXES

ESL specialists have long experience of working with both bats and birds, and have detailed understanding of the ecology of these groups. With this experience we can supply and install a wide range of bat and bird boxes to meet any requirement, whether the aim is to discharge planning conditions, to enhance biodiversity or to undertake research.

Our extensive experience in mitigation for bats and birds allows us to help you avoid frustrating and potentially costly delays. All of our staff have the appropriate licences to work with statutorily protected species and are experienced at working within the restrictions of European Protected Species licences.

Bats:

• We hold a standard range of bat boxes for winter or summer use for trees and buildings, but we can also design and build boxes to deal with any situation.
• If your project has to compensate for impacts on bats or birds, we can design or implement measures to ensure you fulfil any planning obligations.
• Use our expertise to site and install bat boxes that maximise their potential for occupancy.

Barn Owls:

• We can provide and erect owl boxes on trees, stand alone poles or the interior or exterior of buildings.
• We can provide advice on locating boxes in different habitats, based on a firm understanding of the species requirements.
• Our boxes, both single and double, are all designed to meet the needs of this species for both breeding and roosting.

Other Species:

• We can also provide, site and install an array of nest boxes for other bird and mammal species.
• Our in house expertise ensures the correct box is chosen to meet their diverse individual nesting, roosting or hibernating requirements.
• Whatever your budget or circumstance demands we can supply and install the right box for the job.

Monitoring and Maintenance: We are happy to quote for providing monitoring and annual maintenance, under licence, for bats and barn owls
