ESL - Ecological ServicesESL ecologists have a common basic training but are then encouraged to specialise and develop their particular interests and in turn, to pass these interests on to other colleagues. They also have a contractual CPD requirement, not only to maintain their expertise but to expand it, ensuring that they stay abreast of new developments in their chosen field. This provides the company with a steadily growing pool of new knowledge.
To assist with both surveys of aquatic flora and fauna and access to difficult sites, ESL owns an Avon inflatable boat with outboard motor. Many of the staff have obtained RYA National Powerboat Certificate Level 2 and all field-workers are trained to at least Appointed Person standard in first aid, so that ESL can provide experienced boat-handlers for any project.
