Trees and woodland management

TREE AND WOODLAND MANAGEMENT

ESL can offer a range of tree-related services using fully qualified professional staff including:

• tree assessments and reports to meet BS 5837 (2005) for planning purposes;
• provision of planting plans for your project;
• planting of new hedges, individual trees or woodland blocks, using native species of trees and shrubs of known provenance, sourced form local nurseries;
• ongoing monitoring and management to ensure stable establishment;
• hedge-laying in local styles;
• coppicing for conservation purposes;
• woodland ride management and scrub clearance;
• pollarding; and
• felling of trees

Our tree workers are all ecologists and hold European Protected Species licences for bats. We are therefore able to undertake tree management under licence where bats may be an issue, thus reducing costs for your project.
